Books

Went to the Austin Quilt Festival last week and saw
the most beautiful quilts. There were a mix
of modern and traditional.

As for my own quilt I'm done with the top and
bottom and have sent it off to be quilted. I also
made the binding for the quilt and have that
ready to go once I get the quilt back.

I'm excited to see how it has turned out. It was my
first quilt besides the sampler quilt that I made
for my beginning quilting class.

I also have a pile of books I bought in Austin to read
that I'm excited about.

While I'm waiting for my quilt to come back
I'm working on some pillows from an Amy Butler pattern.
Will post pictures of the work in progress later.

uvalde texas:

Briscoe-Garner Museum

We took a day trip to Uvalde, Texas
and visited the Briscoe-Garner Museum.

Two famous politicians from this area.
I'm a history fanatic so it was interesting
learning more about these two
individuals.

We also had fun looking at this beautiful
house.
